Many of my articles, posts, webpages, etc. start off with “Most people believe…”. I’ve tried to think of other ways to explain to people that things are not always as they seem – or appear as they should. Well, with insurance policies, insurance claims, and the insurance industry – many people find themselves scratching their heads with disbelief when they finally suffer damage to their property.
So, here I go again… Most people believe that when they buy insurance, they will be taken care of when, and if, a tragedy occurs. It’s really quite simple.
We purchase insurance.
We have been paying for coverage for over X-amount of years.
When we have a claim the insurance company will be eager to help us and fulfill there part of the bargain.

Insurance Appraisal: It seems lately as more and more claims enter into appraisal, the clause is being invoke without merit. Texas courts are protecting policyholders who disagree with their insurance company when it comes to fairly settling insurance claims (in this case roof hail damage claims). It’s bad enough to have insurance claim damage to your property, the last thing one needs is to have to become a professional wrestler to obtain what is rightfully theirs. 9NEWS DENVER Reported – “Hail up to the size of baseballs caused widespread hail damage to vehicles and homes around Brighton and Commerce City and other communities in the northeast metro area.” This storm occurred the afternoon of 5/26/2010.
Hail season produces hundreds of thousands of hail damage claims. Many of those claims end up in disagreements between the insurance company and property owners.
One common issue is that the insurance company usually wants to repair or partially replace damaged areas or certain slopes of the roof, where as the property owners want to replace the entire roof.

With the proper assistance you can resolve a hail claim dispute with your insurance company, as well as any other insurance problem you may incur. It is untrue for people believe the only way to fight an insurance claim is in a court of law. If you do decide to handle it in such a manner it will require a ton of money and twice as much effort.
